Triiibe Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Triiibe, a product of Digital Forge, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information. We believe in being straightforward — no walls of fine print.

Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Phone number (required to join or create a trip)
  • Name (as you enter it when joining a trip)
  • Email address (optional, if you choose to provide one)
  • Trip content you create (gear lists, activities, expenses, notes)
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number)

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and browser information (via Google Analytics)
  • Pages visited and actions taken within the app
  • IP address
  • Cookies and similar technologies for analytics and session management

Information from third parties:

  • Payment confirmation from Stripe (transaction ID, amount, status — not card details)
  • Emergency service locations from Google Places API based on your trip destination

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate the Service (create trips, manage attendees, send notifications)
  • Send SMS messages related to your trips via Twilio
  • Process payments via Stripe
  • Look up emergency services near your trip destination via Google Places
  • Generate AI destination images via OpenAI
  • Understand how people use Triiibe so we can improve it (via Google Analytics)
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Period.

How We Share Your Information

We share information only in these situations:

  • With other trip members: your name and phone number are visible to other people on the same trip. Organizers and co-planners can see all trip data.
  • With service providers: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Google (analytics and maps), OpenAI (image generation), Supabase (database hosting), and Vercel (app hosting). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • If required by law: we will comply with valid legal requests from law enforcement or government agencies.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use Triiibe. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We also use essential cookies for session management (keeping you logged into your trip). These are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.

Data Retention

  • Active trip data is retained for up to 3 years after the trip end date.
  • After 3 years, trip data may be deleted. We do not guarantee long-term data storage.
  • SMS notification logs are retained for 1 year.
  • Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@triiibe.app.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • All data transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
  • Row-level security on our database (Supabase) so users can only access trips they belong to
  • Server-side API keys and secrets (never exposed to browsers)
  • No storage of credit card information on our servers

No system is 100% secure. While we do our best, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Triiibe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The parent/guardian feature in Triiibe is designed for parents who are actively involved in a trip their child is attending — the parent must be invited by their child (an existing trip attendee).

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@triiibe.app and we will delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we have about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of analytics tracking

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@triiibe.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act

If you are a Virginia resident, you have additional rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal data, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising. We do not engage in targeted advertising or sell personal data. To exercise your VCDPA rights, contact us at support@triiibe.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active users via SMS or by posting a notice in the app. The “Last Updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
